Are we entering a quantum age?

Applications of quantum physics are advancing at an astounding pace and promise to significantly change the business technology landscape and for some industries turn the landscape upside down.
Quantum technologies can provide highly disruptive capabilities for numerous applications across a wide range of sectors. Therefore, it is important for you to understand this game-changing technology and how its role in computing, data processing and communications could impact your business.
Learn from the experts
In our inaugural session, experts from the Sussex Centre of Quantum Technologies at the University of Sussex, will demystify the ground-breaking potential of this topic.
The session will provide a deeper understanding of incredible technological advances and how they are relevant to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) through case studies.

Session topics:
- An introduction to quantum technologies
- Case studies of partnership work with small and medium-sized businesses
- Insight into this revolutionary technology including super-fast computers, simulation, sensors, imaging, batteries and atomic clocks, and their potential impact on your business now and in the future.
Who should attend:
This session will be suited to anyone who wants to find out more about how the quantum technology revolution will affect their business, and/or has ideas of innovation project ideas related to this field which could receive support through our access to expertise pathway.
This is particularly relevant to SMEs working in the following areas: imaging and sensing (e.g. healthcare, manufacturing, developers of sensors), clocks (e.g. navigation), computing (e.g. finance, software), materials physics (e.g. health or consumer products).
Who is delivering the session:

Professor Jacob Dunningham and Professor Peter Kruger from the University of Sussex’s Centre for Quantum Technologies will lead the session alongside a panel of experts from their department.
There will be a presentation followed by the opportunity to ask questions.
