Join our Recovery Innovation workshops series to kick-start your innovation journey.

Our Recovery Innovation programme will develop your innovation skills and capability to create new products, services, processes or a new business model in response to the impact of Covid and Brexit.

Delivered by our top team of University business innovation experts, this flexible series will build your knowledge and confidence to drive innovation in your business.

It will give you the tools you need to become resilient and agile, providing you with a competitive advantage in the future.

Helping your innovation succeed

This workshop provides members with the opportunity to use the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) Innovation Canvas, a tool designed to help business create value from innovation, and identify the changes needed to make your idea succeed. The canvas provides a framework for assessing the strengths and weaknesses of a specific project, identifying the most urgent challenges to overcome, and prioritising what action to take.

In this workshop our RISE Innovation Advisory team will walk you through how to use this simple but highly effective tool to quickly evaluate an existing project, develop an innovative new idea, or inform a funding application and discuss your challenges and actions.

This workshop will help you to:

  • Accelerate the development of new products and services
  • Make better-informed decisions
  • Support innovation pitches and funding applications
  • Identify and mitigate risks within current projects
  • Spot gaps in your capability to innovate
  • Test assumptions that might be hindering progress
  • Design innovations for commercial success

In this group setting, online for now, you will gain insight and ideas from peers without sharing any commercially sensitive information. At the end of the session you will have a completed canvas and a list of top challenges and action points to discuss with your team to take forward.
