What is innovation? How can it help you build your business, and how do you manage it?

Understanding the innovation process will help you manage incremental changes to your products and services, and assess more disruptive ideas, more effectively. That can include creating additional value from an existing market, entering a new market or adapting to a new business model to support your journey to net zero.

In this session you’ll learn about how to use the Innovation Canvas  to accelerate the development of new products and services, make better-informed decisions, and identify and mitigate risks within current projects.

For businesses it can be difficult to encourage open debate, embrace a shared vision and prioritise tasks when discussing new product and service ideas. Using a tool like the Innovation canvas can bring a common understanding and a clear focus on challenges and priorities for a successful innovation.

As well as the Innovation Canvas, we’ll walk you through the circular economy, product and process lifecycle management and explain the opportunities for innovation provided by Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

This session is for small and medium sized business managers and owners who want to find out more about how to manage the innovation process more effectively.
